I’m a mechanical engineer by training, a dancer for 20 years, and a biomechanics coach. These past years of my life have been entirely focused on one mission: helping the body move as it’s designed
to—finding maximum pleasure in movement while eliminating pain.
I’ve witnessed first-hand the damage conventional dance shoes inflict. I’ve watched talented dancers give up what they love because their feet simply couldn’t take it anymore. Ball-of-foot pain, bunions, plantar fasciitis, burning sensations that make walking unbearable after a single social—these aren’t occasional inconveniences. They’re epidemic in our community.
That’s why I decided to engineer a real solution, no matter what it took.
I learned to do shoe making in Argentina.
To be able to make a barefoot dance shoe, the first challenge is to create a barefoot shoe last. A shoe last is the basic shape of the shoe. Local shoe makers thought I was crazy. I had to insist that they make it according to my requirements.
Learning about leather, learning to actually create the shoe, were all part of my learning journey.
I started touring Europe and placing my table with shoes. I also offered functional foot massages, which were always very popular. It is the most amazing feeling to sell your first pair of shoes!
Now these pretty little shoes are produced in Portugal, stored in Germany and shipped into the whole wide world!

The suede leathers soles are ideal for indoor dancing.
Are the shoes made from leather?
Yes! The outside and inside material is leather, and even the sole is leather. So they feel natural and breathable.
